Spiced Chicken Drumsticks

Middle Eastern flavours meet the ubiquitous chicken, with perfect results every time

2 tsp Carla’s Mild Curry Powder 

8 chicken drumsticks 

1 tbsp olive oil 

1 tbsp runny honey 

Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper 

½ a lemon


  • Heat the oven to 240 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray. 

  • With a sharp knife, slash the sides of the chicken drumsticks to allow the flavours to seep in and the meat to cook evenly. 

  • Put the chicken in a bowl, and add the oil, honey and Carla’s Mild Curry Powder

  • Mix well to ensure the chicken is coated. 

  • Tip the chicken onto the baking tray and add some salt and pepper. 

  • Put into the oven for 45 minutes, turning the drumsticks every 15 minutes or so. 

  • Remove from the oven and leave to cool for a few minutes, then add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Serve with salad for a filling, healthy lunch.
